We’ve just posted an ad for a new chair of trustees for Charity Mentors Oxfordshire on http://oxonvolunteers.org/. It was straightforward to register and upload the details so it will be interesting to see if we get any applications through this website. Hopefully it will widen the net for us! If anyone else is interested, please do check it out or find more details at https://www.charitymentors.co.uk/work-with-us/.
I posted a Trustee vacancy for Home-Start Oxford – the site is good and pretty user friendly. Do take a look at our listing:) http://oxonvolunteers.org/vk/volunteers/my_opportunities_info_ur.htm?pID=10034294
It’s well suited to ad-hoc and event type volunteering. We’ll wait and see whether it offers the exposure we need for longer term trustee opportunities.
I have, although I haven’t dug deeply. I have subscribed as a volunteer and receive regular updates – I think they come through at the weekend.
I haven’t come across anyone who has used it a lot to upload opportunities, so I would be interested to know from others what that experience is like.
I understand from OCVA that one of the differences in this compared to Do-it is that they are checked before going live by either Volunteer Linkup, OCVA or the Banbury VC, depending upon location. It will be interesting to hear if this is works well.
